Happy Memorial Day

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend. We had a great time and did a whole bunch of fun things including going to a few BBQs, walking through the Northwest Folklife festival and having a little picnic at the Ballard Locks.

That's one way to move around

Evan has started moving a lot lately, but he's not crawling yet. He rolls to and from wherever he wants to be. Here's a little video of him rolling around his room.

Aunt Jennifer in Seattle

This past weekend while I was in New Orleans to see David graduate from Tulane, Jennifer came out to Seattle for a visit before her big move to Boston and the start of her internship. Jill, Evan and Jennifer had a great time. They went to the zoo, the aquarium, the sculpture garden and a bunch more places. What a busy week! Evan had a great time with his Aunt. Happy Mother's Day

It was Evan and Jill's first Mother's day today. We all got up semi-late this morning (9 am) and went to church. Later in the afternoon we went to brunch at Six-Seven in the Edgewater Hotel. Jill now proclaims that they have "the best brunch in Seattle".

Baby on a Swing

This past week while Jill was at Green Lake she had the bright idea to see how Evan would like being in a swing. As it turns out he loves it and laughs unstoppably every time he swings toward you. I just had to see this so we packed up dinner tonight and all went up to the swings so I could see it for myself. Weeee!

And the Favorite New Toy Is...

At any point in time Evan seems to have one or two favorite toys. Recently, however, Evan seems to enjoy dumping out his entire toy box and rolling around all over his toys. Maybe he's entering his messy phase or maybe he's indecisive. Either way, watching him dump out all his toys is funny to me.
