Thanksgiving in Seattle

We haven't been back to Seattle as a family since we moved to Virginia last August.  We were going to head back in March but Jill got sick (how inconsiderate).  We decided to take a trip this Thanksgiving and go back and see our Seattle family who we shared so many Thanksgivings with in the past.

It was fantastic to be back and see our favorite places and people.  It felt like we never left.  Thanks Seattle folks for making it still feel like home.

Here's Evan back at Tara's with Teacher Jennifer who was so happy to see him!

Evan's Seattle Crew had a great play date.

The trains at Seattle Center

As you can see we fit a whole lot (and then some) into our brief trip.  I foresee many more fun trips back to our old home in the future.

An Early Visit to Santa

We decided to see The Big Guy early this year.  Much to my surprise I wound up with two kids smiling looking at the camera - Christmas Joy!

Angry... Peacock?

Angry birds is all the rage and Evan went to our neighbor's Angry Bird themed birthday party.  He came back looking like an angry peacock.  He's not at all in to the game but he was really into the eyebrows.  We had a hard time getting him to take them off.

Alexis's Big Party

At the beginning of November Alexis had a birthday party with some of her friends.  The house was turned upside down as play centers for the kids were set  up and furniture was moved. We had pizza, a
Dora egg hunt and cupcakes.  Fun was had by everyone.  Unfortunately, the party was a little too much for Alexis.  She liked certain parts of it but did end up going in for a nap before all of her party guests left.  Mom went a little overboard.  Lesson learned?  We'll see when Alexis turns 4.
