Swim lessons

Evan and Alexis have been taking swim lessons and I have to say their progress has been astounding.  Evan is getting so close to really swimming.  I can tell he's much more comfortable in the water than ever before.  Alexis is getting her self comfortable as well.  She loves going under water.  Enjoy the videos!

The first day of summer

School is over.  It's the first day of summer vacation.  What do you do?  Bake banana bread.

Evan and Alexis love cooking and they were so proud that their banana bread was yummy.  I love the aprons.

Preschool is over!

It's unbelievable to me that Evan is now done with preschool, but he is and next fall he's off to kindergarten.  This was an incredible year for Evan.  He learned so much and came so far.  Here he is with his best friend Ryan, outside the preschool, and doing his good morning handshake with his teacher Mrs. Carey.  We were lucky to find and choose Emmanuel Lutheran as Evan's preschool when we moved to Virginia.  Here are some pictures of Evan with his friends and his teachers.

Alexis loves Gymboree

Alexis has been going to Gymboree class for some time now but every time she goes there this is the reaction:

She absolutely loves it.  She runs around, climbs, slides and dances.  Yay for Gymboree!

Alexis misses the rain

Alexis loves pretending it's raining.  Here she is all geared up.  I'm not 100% sure but I think that's Stella she has all geared up as well.

Mother's day

This Mother's day Jill joined Evan at school.  He made her a flower.

We all went out to brunch at a restaurant down the street and had fantastic food and reflected on why we love mommy.  As Evan summed up best in his card for Jill this year "Mommy is the ruler of the family and we love her".

The Turkey Tango

Evan had a dance recital today at school and it was fantastic.  Here he is with his dance partner
