Alexis the strawberry picker

One day while Evan and I were at school and work Jill and Alexis went to pick strawberries.  I can honestly say they were the best tasting strawberries I've eaten in a long time.  Good work ladies!

Memorial Day Weekend

  For Memorial Day we visited Arlington National Cemetery and then went to the Marine Band's free concert later that evening.  We're lucky to live close to Wolftrap performing arts center. There are tons of great events there.  We didn't get to see the band (we were very far away) but the music and the picnic was great.  The added bonus was the super awesome (really) firework show at the end of the concert.

Viva Vienna

It's that time of year again - the town of Vienna's annual festival full of rides and [bad] food. The kids loved running around and riding all the rides. It felt at least fifteen degrease cooler than it was last year (still in the mid 80's) so that was nice. Enjoy a few shots of the kids riding!

Mr. Wizard?

Evan got a "wizard kit" as a present and now we're working through the experiments.  He's got his hat on and we're making crystals, wands, and color changing bubbling potions.  Alexis loves it so much she made her own hat so she could be a wizard too.

Mothers Day

We always make a fuss for Jill on Mother's Day because she deserves it.  This year her parents were down to share in the celebration.  None of us can ever thank you enough for being the mother you are.
