Easter in Philadelphia

We packed our bags and headed back east for Easter last weekend to spend some time with Jill's family. The Easter bunny left Evan a nice basket.

Evan participated in his first Easter egg hunt this year (he was too young last year) with some of the neighborhood kids. He got the hang of it quite fast.

We also got the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Jill's family.

Evan came down with a nasty fever near the end of our trip and it wound up he had an ear infection when we took him to the doctor once we got home. That aside, we had a fantastic trip. We took a bunch of great pictures -- check out our others here.

Dad's Birthday

My birthday was Mar 17 and Evan and Jill threw a great little birthday party for me. There was a happy birthday banner, balloons, we ate corned beef my mother made when she was in town, had cake and opened cards and presents (Evan got me boxers and Jill got me some shirts, my favorite shaving oil and a watch box). Later that night Jill even put Evan to bed so I could go out and have a happy birthday Guinness with some friends. What a fantastic way to spend my 31st birthday.

The Superpeep

Evan turned 18 months old on 3/13 and to celebrate I decided to get him a huge stuffed duck. He loves his little peep so much that this seemed like it would be a surefire hit. When we first showed it to him he screamed "Duck! Duck!" and ran over and tackled it. Now all we have to do is find somewhere to put it...

A new set of shoes

It has come to our attention that Evan has outgrown the shoes that have served him well ever since he's learned to walk. We shopped around a bit but Evan fell in love with a pair of Keen shoes so we got them for him and he hasn't wanted to take them off since! Every time we take off his shoes he picks them up, brings them to us and says "on!". Last night he even walked around the house in his pajamas and his shoes.

A vacation in Seattle

This past week Jill and I took a vacation to Hawaii and left Evan at home! My parents were kind enough to fly out to Seattle for the week with Coco (AKA Cody to those with better pronunciation) and take care of Evan. They had a great time cruising around Seattle.

Here are Coco, Mini and Evan outside the Pike Place Market. They were apparently shooting some Jennifer Aniston movie and there were trucks everywhere.

Here's B and Evan going down the slide at one of the parks in Queen Anne near our house.

Last but not least, here's a shot of two happy, relaxed and grateful parents in Hawaii.

Evan's Leapfrog

For Christmas Evan got a baby Leapfrog learning pad and he's just now showing some interest in it. Evan's decided that since he was in his froggie hoodie he would go and play with it. He loves touching the pictures and listening to the different sounds.
