Playing in the snow

We just returned from another trip to Park City and this time there was no lack of snow. We all had plenty of time to play outside and sled / snow tube, and ski but we also carved out time to take a dip in the pool, play with toys and relax. Here are some pictures and a short video. Mom's Birthday

This year for Jill's birthday we spent the day together as a family and did a bunch of fun activities. First we went to a small farm in the morning. We enjoyed looking at the chickens, sheep and horses.

Next, we came home and took a family nap. After that, Evan and I went out and ran errands for Jill's birthday dinner. We came home with food, cake, and a bunch of balloons.

We had a fantastic dinner, sang happy birthday and ate some cake.

Happy Valentine's Day

Evan wanted to wish everyone a happy Valentine's day with this year's version of his annual Valentines picture.

Evan loves to dance whenever there's music playing and sometimes Jill gets into it too. Here's a picture of what's sure to be an award-winning mother/son dance team.

Evan's Desk

Our friend Emmy gave Evan her little table and chair set a few weeks ago. Evan loves to sit at his desk. He reads books, types on his keyboard and even colors sometimes. I sense some play dough in his future.

My, what big shoes you have...

Today Evan decided to put on a pair of Jill's shoes. At first he fell down when he tried to move, but after a while he somehow figured out how to shuffle around in them and proceeded to walk around the house all day. One more thing -- you're probably noticing all the drool on Evan's shirt. We think he's getting another set of molars!

Evan's First Painting

This painting is representative of work from Evan's early period. His use of a single color and few brush strokes has come to define work in this period. This untitled work has become known as "My First Shark" to those familiar with his work. The piece is currently mounted to a refrigerator so no frame is included.

Evan's new hat

Jill has been taking a knitting class the past month and her first finished product was a hat for Evan. Evan loves his new hat. Now that Jill is on her way to a second career as a professional knitter, place your orders now before the wait gets too long!

Evan's Frog

About a week ago Jill got Evan a new outfit that has a little stuffed frog attached to the pocket of the overalls. When Evan wore it we'd asked where his frog was and he'd look straight down and then pull out the frog and say "hop hop hop". He can't put it back into the pocket quite yet - we'll work on that next time he wears his froggie outfit.
