After our big trip to the fair and a semi-long nap it was time for the rest of Evan's birthday festivities. Evan ate his first pizza ever. He ate an entire slice with no trouble at all. Next it was on to the cake. We sang Happy Birthday and with a little help from Mom (OK -- a lot of help) he blew out the candle.
Next up was eating the cake. At first Evan was a bit baffled - he played around with the frosting but didn't eat it. After Jill gave him a little taste he dove in with both hands.
Last but certainly not least came the presents. We got Evan a few toys and his fantastic extended family had sent him a bunch of goodies as well. We all sat down, opened cards and ripped off wrapping paper. Evan immediately began playing with some of his new toys.
What a fantastic time all three of us had today. He went to sleep easy tonight and I bet he'll sleep in late tomorrow. We took a bunch more pictures and posted them online. Click here if you'd like to see them.
