Our trip to Portland

We decided to take a family trip to Portland.  We're so close but have never been there before it sounded like a good idea.  We drove down, checked into our hotel and took the first night easy.  The next day we headed to their amazing science museum.

Portland is a fantastic city.  It's very walkable and the public transportation is great.  Evan was CRAZY over the streetcar system in town.  Every time a streetcar passed Evan went crazy.  He would tell us about the colors and ask to ride it.  

The next day we went to the zoo.  It was pretty amazing as well.  We saw lots of animals up close (which is something you can't necessarily do at the Woodland Park Zoo).  

It turns out that Alexis' favorite thing to do on vacation was to walk down the long hallway at the hotel.  She did it over and over again.  I think she really wore herself out!  Click below to see the video.

We had a great trip.  Evan wanted to stay longer.  The only regret we have is not being able to stop at Voodoo doughnuts.  The line was around the block both times we passed by.  Maybe next time!
