We started off our long weekend with a deep cleaning of all things outdoors. Here are the kids cleaning off all their sand and water toys and me with the power washer getting the baby pool.
Next up on the agenda was a visit to the Viva Vienna festival in the center of town. The kids road the rides, played a game (shark fishing) and ate ice cream.
Then it was off to Arlington Cemetery. It's great being in DC. This is an experience we never could have had out in Seattle. The kids got their first opportunity to understanding why we're really celebrating the holiday weekend.
We finished the weekend with a picnic at home.
It was a fantastic first Memorial day weekend on the East coast.

Wow, you guys have sunshine! I think Evan's even sweating in one picture. Definitely another thing you wouldn't be getting here in Seattle. And, Alexis is no baby anymore. She's totally a little girl! So sweet! We miss you all!!
