Popsicles

Evan loves popsicles. He tries to get one at least once per day, and when our sitter comes over he barrages her with requests until she eventually gives in and gives him one.

Jill got Evan a subscription to a kids magazine and the first issue arrived just in time for our flight to Philadelphia. Evan loved reading through the stories. His favorite article was the one that taught him how to make his own popsicles. He asked me every day if we could make our own when we got home. Finally the day arrived. We got strawberries and yogurt, put them in the blender, poured the mix into small paper cups and put sticks in.

The hardest part was of course waiting for the next evening to eat them. When the time did come, I think he took real pride in eating his creation. I wonder what we'll be cooking next month!
