Evan is 7 (the day)

By now you know one birthday party is never enough - so for Evan's actual birthday we headed out to Cape May to visit Grandma and Grandpa to celebrate.  It was a relaxing weekend getaway for all of us.  Jill packed up everything needed to do Evan's birthday story along with some presents.

One of the best things that Evan got was his magician's cape, hat, wand and a few trick sets. He set off leaning as many as he could and did countless shows (complete with him announcing his own arrival from "off stage") and had a blast. This was also the last of the lego theme for the birthday (the candles on his cake). Evan specifically asked for a DQ Oreo Blizzard cake and that's what he got.

While we were down, Aunt Jennifer joined us and the girls were able to get away for an afternoon tea to celebrate Grandma's birthday leaving the men to go mini golfing. And what would a trip to the shore be without one last Wildwood trip for the summer. There were virtually no lines and we even got Alexis to go on of the "big girl" roller coasters (which she loved). We also got caught in an absolutely horrible rain storm while on a nature walk and everyone got completely soaked. Evan uttered one of my favorite phrases that he says -- This is horrible -- and proceeded to be quite angry at the rain. Luckily we all dried off and were no worse for the wear.

And if one birthday (twice) wasn't enough it was Grandma's birthday the next day so we decided it was worthy of another cake. That was one heck of a long weekend.
