Evan had his 18 month doctor's appointment this morning and got 3 shots. The doctor said he was healthy and wouldn't need another shot until he was 4. Yeah! We all went out for breakfast after seeing the doctor and then it was off to work for me. The fun for Evan and Jill was just beginning. Jill and Evan met friends at Golden Gardens which is a local park on the Puget Sound with a sand beach. Word on the street has it that Evan immediately ran for the water. Jill took his jacket off and figured that he'd just get his hands wet a bit. Evan slowly walked towards the water and touched it gently, but a small wave came in and soaked his feet. Next thing you know, Evan had fallen over and was soaking wet and covered in sand and sea weed and smelling of fish. After Jill changed his clothes he didn't venture over to the water again and spend the remainder of the afternoon playing happily in the sand and on the playground. I wish I could have been there to see it all.
