Meeting Thomas

This past weekend Evan met Thomas the Train. Seattle has been basically dry this entire summer - but not this past weekend! It was raining on and off. It was held at a train museum so there were a lot of big trains around and Evan got a kick out of seeing them.

He recognized all his favorite trains and made sure to point them out to us when he saw them.

He met Sir Topham Hat who was a bit strange looking to me but Evan didn't seem to mind - he gave him five and moved on.

Evan kept waiting and waiting for the main event - seeing and taking a ride on Thomas. We got a chance to see Thomas before we got on board and take a quick picture.

The train ride itself was a bit of a let down - we road in a pretty normal passenger car and the ride was real slow. After about five minutes Evan was ready to get off and do somthing else. Overall we had a good time. It would have been better without the rain - there probably were more things we could have done - but Evan liked it and has been talking about meeting Thomas all week.
