Easter

We had a fantastic Easter this year. It was a whole weekend event. On Saturday morning we went to an egg hunt at the community center and Evan found the special egg that got him the prize for his age level. After nap that afternoon we dyed eggs. Evan insisted on doing it all himself which resulted in some cracked eggs but the result was the same. His favorite eggs were the purple and the blue ones.

Evan set out baskets for himself and Alexis the night before Easter along with some carrots. The Easter Bunny ate (most) of the carrots, filled their baskets with goodies, and hid them in the backyard. Evan helped Alexis find her basket and then found his as well. We managed to get Evan to take a picture with his basket (not an easy feat on a normal day, let alone on a day where there is an Easter basket sitting next to you).

We had a delicious breakfast at church. Evan participated in the church egg hunt. We quickly realized it may not have been the best idea to have the egg hunt before the church service. Needless to say it is pretty hard to keep a 3 year old still and quiet during Easter service.

Here are Evan and Alexis dressed up and ready to go to church:

The afternoon consisted of some naps and a lot of cooking. We had some friends over for dinner and that was nice. The day wound up with cleaning, baths and four tired people who went right to bed.
