What is Missing?

It was the last thing remaining for Evan to be a "big boy". He had stopped wearing diapers at Thanksgiving but he was still sleeping with a pacifier. We prepared him for the day for a long while and braced for the worst. There was no crying the first night (probably because we stayed with him until he fell asleep) and just a bit of crying on the second night. Since then there haven't been any issues at all. Here's Evan that first night:

Since this evening we haven't noticed him sucking his thumb either. He sure showed us! He may have needed a little shove but he was ready for it
