Evan had a Thanksgiving feast at his preschool this Friday. The students of all three 4/5s classes were Native American Indians. Evan was from Tribe Carey after his teacher Mrs Carey. The teachers and helpers were pilgrims. Evan was excited when Jill and Alexis showed up. Alexis got in a little chair right next to Evan and in the true spirit of the holiday he shared his feast with her. They enjoyed turkey, carrots, celery, applesauce, pumpkin pudding, and apple juice. Jill loves how traditional this preschool is. In Seattle our preschool would have never had a Thanksgiving feast due to food allergy concerns and not wanting to offend anyone who had differing beliefs. I think Evan was inspired by the feast because Saturday night he planned a menu for our family to have a feast.
