For Thanksgiving this year we loaded up the car and drove up to Philadelphia to spend time with Jill's family. Philadelphia has a great Thanksgiving day parade so we of course had to check it out. We traveled down by train to the city and right when we walked out of the train stop the parade was right in front of us.
Unfortunately there were only three floats left until the end! We watched the end and then plotted a route to cut the parade off as it went up town. We walked nearly a mile to the Philadelphia Art Museum and I think we saw most of the parade backed up waiting to travel in front of the grandstand. All in all not the best parade experience but we had fun. We know exactly what to do next time. We snagged a few soft pretzels along the way so it wasn't an entire waste. The train back was completely packed which made for a fun end to the morning.
