The Kutztown Fair

Our next excursion was to the Kutztown fair in Pennsylvania Dutch country.  My expectations were pretty low but let me tell you - we go to a lot of fairs and this was amazing.  It was 97 degrees, and this tends to put a damper on things, but it wasn't crowded, there were kids rides, bands playing, fantastic food, crafts, great exhibits, and the most amazing petting zoo we've ever seen.  Here is Evan making his own bee's wax candle.

And here is Jill feeding Alexis an apple dumpling.

If I could change one thing it would have been the temperature - but maybe then it would have been super crowded.  For old time's sake we stopped at a Perkins on the way home.  It was very similar to the way it was back in our Bucknell days though they did change the name of the Frisco Melt to the Patty Melt and there are no more cookies on a stick.
