Our annual trip to the Wildwood boardwalk is always a favorite and this year was no different. Wildwood has been a constant theme in Evan's imaginary stories since we went last year. We knew he was going to have a blast riding all the rides but even Alexis got in on the action. Check her out on the carousel (notice Evan avoids looking at the camera at all costs- he hates pictures):
Ever since Evan rode the roller coaster last year he has been looking forward to doing it again. He loved his ride on The Flitzer with Jill.
Evan rode around on this train no fewer than three times. I think it was his favorite ride of all. He insisted on being the conductor. If another child beat him to it he would wait for the next train so he could be first in line and get the conductor seat.
Alexis was a real trooper. We were at the boardwalk for at least six hours. Here she is, way past her bed time having a blast.
Here's a video of Evan on the bouncer. We actually have one of these at Seattle Center and Evan loves riding on it. He always has a giant smile on his face the entire time.
So the evening was a smashing success. Rides were ridden, food was eaten, and we were only rained on briefly for a few minutes. Evan is already looking forward to next year's visit.
