Sesame Place

Last year we took Evan to Sesame Place.  He thought he was "too little" to ride the Super Grover roller coaster last year and has been looking forward to conquering it this year.  So we packed up and headed out for another fun filled day.  Apparently we weren't the only ones out for another fun filled day.  It was ridiculously crowded which meant long lines for everything.
Did I mention it was flaming hot?  It was 103 degrees.  Poor Alexis was melting.    We slathered each other with sunscreen continually and hydrated until we couldn't drink any more.   We took advantage of the water park to try to cool off.  Evan did go down a water slide but we mostly stuck to the pools due to the 45-60 minute lines.  Here's Alexis taking a dip in the water.

And here's a bit of video too.

Evan had a blast watching the parade go by with all his favorite Sesame characters.

And we all posed with Abby for a family portrait.

We watched a stage show with Abby, Grover, Cookie Monster, Elmo and others and Evan LOVED it.   Evan did manage to conquer the Super Grover roller coaster.  Three times.  He has been running around the house playing roller coaster since we returned to Seattle.  He speaks into his pretend loudspeaker telling the riders (ie, Jill, Alexis, me or Peep) to "Get ready for take off" and to "Hold on to your mommies and daddies."  Then he races off around the house expecting us to follow him in our "cars".
