We had a wonderful Fourth of July this year. This is the first year we have taken Evan and Alexis to Cape May for fourth of July. Jill has spent most of her Fourths here and takes the celebration quite seriously. The festivities started out with a town parade which we watched from the boardwalk, water ices in our hands. We spent an afternoon at the beach. Then we headed down to Congress Hall -- a restored ocean front grand hotel which has housed 4 different Presidents during their summer vacations. There was a wonderful picnic along with a live band playing patriotic music. Evan did his share of dancing and was very excited when the band started playing "It's A Grand Old Flag". He started to sing along. The night's festivities ended with a glorious display of fireworks over the ocean.
Evan and Alexis all decked out in their red, white, and blue for the big day.
Alexis got tired of waiting for the fireworks to begin. She cuddled up to daddy to take a nap. She did wake up in time and loved them.
