Christmas Eve

We opened family presents on Christmas Eve as we do every year.  The kids were real excited to start ripping into the gifts that have been in my office for the past few weeks.  This year we gave each kid 3 presents to represent the number of presents the wise men gave baby Jesus.  One present was something they needed (new Christmas pajamas), one was something to help their religious upbringing, and the last present was their gold present (ie. something they really wanted).

Evan's gold present was a double decker motorized train set.  After being disappointed we could not set it up immediately, he spent the next day and a half saying let's just look at the box.  He must have spent over an hour total looking at the box obsessing about how he was going to play with his train.  Alexis got dress up clothes.  She naturally stripped down and put one of them on immediately.

We managed to snap a reasonably good family shot before we ran out of the house for Church.

The kids behaved real well, sang songs and had a good evening service.  The kids ended the night by putting on their new pajamas, setting out some cookies for Santa, and snuggling up to me to hear T'was the Night Before Christmas.
