This morning I decided to let Jill sleep in and took the kids to the Fairfax volunteer fire department for breakfast at the firehouse. When we got there it was pretty crowded. We got in line and the kids got pancakes with chocolate chips on top, sausage and milk and OJ. They demolished their plates as well as mine.
By the time we were finished eating the place was absolutely packed. I'm sure it was over the occupancy limit, but what were we going to do, call the fire department?! The entire next day Evan and Alexis chased each other around the house wearing those hats making fire engine noises. Totally worth the trip.
