Alexis started off strong but stopped after she hit a dress up outfit Santa had left for her (seeing a pattern here? ) She didnt finish opening her presents until after she got back from Grandma's house.
Evan found his stocking completely stuffed back by the fire place. It seemed to be filled with a lot of sweet treats. Santa even brought Evan his first ever bubble gum which he was pretty excited about.
I cooked monkey bread (it turned out burned on top and raw in the middle - I was so sad), we ate breakfast and got ready for our drive to see the Nansteels in Philadelphia. The drive was super fast and Evan was so happy to see everyone when we arrived.
We had a great Christmas dinner with the entire Nansteel/ Finley clan. The little people went to sleep easily - they were wiped.
The next day we went to an arboretum that has an amazing outdoor model train exhibit, which Evan of course loved.
There is also a giant "bird nest". Evan and Alexis are trying to hatch something out of these giant blue eggs.
We went downtown and watched the show on the massive screen in the lobby of the Comcast building. Uncle Jeff joined us.
Then it was off to Macy's for their light show.
We had a jam packed trip to Philly but as always enjoyed ourselves and came back relaxed and ready to play with all the new toys.
