Cox Farm

Today we took a field trip with Evan's preschool to Cox farm.  It's no secret that we love farms.  We've been to tons of them so our expectations were high, but Cox farm was amazing.  There were tons of animals for us to look at. Evan remarked that the large pig reminded him of Oliver from Tara's back in Seattle.

There was a giant rope swing and Evan rode on it and jumped off into the hay.

Alexis found a little chicken friend.

I'd say the main event for the day was the hay ride.  I'm going to quote Jill here and say "it was the best hay ride ever."   Alexis thought it was fun to pick up the hay and throw it at me and Jill.  Evan loved seeing all the painted scenes they had throughout the ride.  Alexis even pretended to take a nap in the comfy hay.

There were also tractors to climb on, giant slides to go down, music to listen to, and food to eat.  At the end, everyone got to pick out a little pumpkin to take home.

The only thing they didn't have at the farm was a proper pumpkin patch.  I'm sure this won't be the only farm we visit this fall but it'll likely be the one with the most fun activities.
